Assistant Athletics Director of Annual Giving
Tyler Kai was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director of Annual Giving in February, 2019 after serving as the Director of Annual Giving since 2017. In this role, he is responsible for the daily operations of the annual fund, including membership benefits and strategic initiatives that support the student-athletes and athletics programs at Tulane University.
Prior to Tulane, Kai served as the Assistant Director of Campaigns for the University of Tennessee. His primary role was identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts to benefit the athletics programs. During his term the Tennessee Fund reached record years in annual giving, sold out of season tickets at Neyland Stadium, and surpassed a three-year campaign goal of $147.5 million.
Kai earned a B.S. in event management from Iowa State University and a M.S. in higher education from Kansas State University. Through his background in intercollegiate athletics compliance, development, and event management, Kai intends to utilize his experience as a way to contribute to the Tulane Athletics legacy.
Originally from Urbandale, Iowa, Kai and his wife, Caitlin, are proud to reside in New Orleans.
